WHY ME?

    He was always alone in his serene neighborhood, no friends to talk to, but in all, he lived peacefully in his home. His dad had warned him not to make friends since they could be bad influence on him. Dennis grew up healthy and strong, not to talk how handsome and cute he was. He was just an eleven-year-old boy.

    Mr. and Mrs. Brown moved into that same neighborhood, with their two lovely daughters, Princess and Lissa. They lived happily of course.

    One day, Lissa saw something unusual, "why does he play all by himself?", she asked. "I don't know", Princess would reply. Lissa always saw Dennis play all by himself, so, she decided to go and play with him. Mr. Andy, the father of Dennis had gone to work, and his mom was inside doing the chores. This gave him the opportunity to play with his new friend at the backyard of his home. But there is a saying that goes, "had I known is always at last." They played the game of throw and hit but since Dennis was still not good enough in holding the bat firmly, the baseball landed on her head. 

     Lissa who was just seven years old, began to cry so loud that Dennis's plead was a story to tell. He was scared, had anyone heard her cry, the case would be worse if his dad comes to hear of it. He was furious of what was going on, "I said shut up, just...shut.... up" he fumed angrily at her while striking her with his bat, thinking it would make her shut her mouth. She was quiet for a while, "good! now get up and go home. I don't wonna play with you anymore" he instructed. She still laid flat on the ground. "I said get up and go home, will you?" he commanded again as he shook her, only to realize blood oozing out from her head. It was too late, Lissa had died. He was rapped with fear, what was he going to tell his parents, so confused he dragged her body by the leg from the backyard, through the backdoor and into his room where he hid the body under his bed. 

    Princess came out looking for Lissa because they had to eat their lunch. She went to Dennis's to check whether he had seen her sister since that was the last place, she saw her. But he had no for an answer. Princess went back to inform her mom that Lissa was nowhere to be found. On asking around the neighborhood and everyone giving no for an answer. She had to involve the police in the search for her daughter. Wailing accompanied by tears were seen that evening because no one had still found her.

   As usual, with her cleanup activities, Mrs. Mandy went up to clean Dennis's room. She had sensed a foul smell coming out of his room. While cleaning she spotted a partly showing cloth under his bed and bent to pick it up, but she couldn't believe her eyes, "NO!" she screamed, "this can't be happening". 

   In tears, she rang the police and gave them the information. Mrs. Mandy called out to Dennis and questioned him, "how did this happen Dennis. Why did you keep something like this from us!" she wept. "It was an accident", he also began to weep, "I was scared mom, I was scared."
