WHY ME? (PART 2)
The police arrived on time for the investigation. Unfortunately for Dennis's family, the police had no choice but to take Dennis along. He was arrested and kept at the juvenile detention center. He was young, something could have been done. But the fact that a little boy his age could have the idea of hiding a dead body to clean up his mess was absurd.
He was now old enough to face the court, there was something wrong somewhere, multiple postponing of his trail. Fifteen years at juvenile detention center, he had grown into a fine gentleman. His case was brought out again to the court. Questions were asked, answers were given, it was really a tough case. The victim's family (Lissa's family) were not willing to make the case a simple one. They did want Dennis to be a free man. If their daughter can't be brought back to life, why should he be a free man?
It took weeks for the case to come to an end. The results were out, "I, judge Steve Bobby, declares that Dennis Mike Johnson, will forever remain in custody till death, for the murder of one Lissa Brown." He couldn't believe his ears. His mom collapsed at the scene. Dennis went on his knees weeping bitterly.
That was the end of Dennis's life. He spent the rest of his life in jail. Few years later he died. Rumors had it that he was stabbed in jail by one inmate who wanted to have an affair with him but refused. Poor Dennis, all the dreams his parents had for him shattered. He never had the opportunity to have his own family, all those dreams came to a sad end.
MORAL LESSON.
1. Tell the truth even though it could hurt.
2. Even innocent people go through situations where no matter how much you explain, you still have to face punishment. Be vigilant and careful. Anything could happen.
3. Had I known is always last.
So sad and a lot learnt
